Time

Conflict with Flooding_of_the_Nile: "Akhet was the first season of the year, between the months of June and September." Need to check other sources.

from BBC History: The year and calendar were adjusted to the Nile and the stars. New Year was in mid July, when the river began to rise for the inundation; this coincided approximately with the reappearance of the star Sirius (Egyptian Sothis) in the sky after 70 days' invisibility. It says

Because Ancient Egyptian calendar and Coptic calendar were different! (but the names of the months were the same!) Böri (talk) 10:41, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Ancient Egyptian month "Thot" = July 19 - August 17 (but this is Julian calendar!) = June 15 - July 15 (Gregorian calendar)

Coptic month Thout = September 11 - October 10 so they were different! (but this makes confusion! Today, most of the people think that the Ancient Egyptian calendar begins on September 11! In fact, it begins on June 15!) Böri (talk) 12:39, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

You're completely wrong. / on Google you can see: Akhet was the time of flooding, it lasted from June 15 to October 15. Böri (talk) 11:15, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Contradiction

The introduction of the article contradicts itself! Is the flood season from June to September or from September to January? The first paragraph suggests the former while the third paragraph suggests the latter. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 17:50, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
