The following paragraphs were removed from the article because they are inconsistent with WP:V: .

• Many streets on the island were previously maintained by Glynn County. In fact, the company deeded the roads to the county in the 1960s. Recently, however, the company asked the county to give up its rights to utility easements and various roads on the island in order to enhance security for the island's residents by way of restricted access.

• Sea Island Company recently built a fishing pier at Gascoigne Bluff on nearby St. Simons Island since the public will no longer be able to fish from the bridge over Black Banks River, an 80 year tradition.

• Many visitors to Sea Island consider themselves “regulars”; they travel to the island multiple times a year to spend time with family and friends. The network of people creates a warm and friendly environment in which visitors can relax and enjoy leisure activities in the company of friends. Although many of these “regulars” have been going to Sea Island for their entire lives, new comers are always welcome. The atmosphere is ideal for meeting new acquaintances, and possibly life-long friends. Popular activities in the area include golf, kayaking, swimming, tennis, bike riding, and many other social events.
