In the Dáil chamber exchange highlighted Gibbons says the following: "I am one farmer who is against it, and I am a member of the National Party." This indicates that he was not a member of the Farmers' Group, rather he was one of 7 CnaG TDs who joined the National Party/National Group after the Army Mutiny of 1924. The Group was led by Joseph McGrath. I wrote this piece about the Group on the wiki about them and also wrote the article on Seán Gibbons on that website. TheGeneral110:32, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
