Very poor article

The explanations are stated as fact with no references. The science of screaming is in fact very interesting with various explanations from evolutionary biology to neuroscience, and psychology. and this article makes a mockery of it. Also to claim only humans scream is just stupid.

"Formatting" this article

I think the article doesn't really reflect the complexity what this whole scream/shout action really means. Aspects like psychology , notes on the different scream categories, examples in arts, music, performance art and so on, are missing. I did write my whole Bachelor Degree on this subject, so would be really interested in restructuring this page and adding some research online. Proposed merge with Raising one's voice

Raising one's voice is simply that... yelling/hollering generally implies raising one's voice beyond a certain level. I have created a disambiguation page for Shouting, which previously redirected here, but with which, apart from technicalities such as breathing, it has nothing in common.
