Blue Police and Schutzmannschaft

Blue Police and Schutzmannschaft where two different things, similar but very different. Blue Police was created by the occuping Germans to fight crime in general and not to fight the resistance. They did not have firearms and most Blue Policemen were in the resistance themselves. They were used by the Germans to guard the Jeiwsh Ghettos later but never to kill Jews or to fight the resistance directly, unlike their Schutzmannschaft conterparts in Lithuania for example. Polizei connotations in xUSSR

Should we say that connotations with polizei word (Russian: полицай) of the WW2 is probably the main reason for Soviet and ex-Soviet militsiya not to be renamed to police for a long time? Renaming in Russia in 2011 raise a discussion, and Ukraine and Belarus just didn't follow. The word полицай is still treated as a traitor and enemy collaborator.
