Name change? edit
In the article escarpment it is explained that the term not fully synonymous with scarp. A scarp has a cliff while an escarpment is the slope between an upper and a lower surface. I would like to posit here the question that not all escarpment recede by scarp retreat, some escarpment may recede by headward erosion and other processes that may or may not involve scarps. —Lappspira (talk) 15:26, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
