Talk:Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal

Name of the article

edit

"Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal" was chosen for the name yet its official name is "Scarborough Town Centre Regional Bus Terminal" any reason why? As the TTC related article is separated (the TTC facility is "Scarborough Centre Station") there may be some confusion between the TTC facility and the REGIONAL Bus Terminal

Official name according to GO Transit is Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal. This is the same naming convention they use on all of their bus terminals. Secondarywaltz (talk) 13:09, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Temporary stops until 2030

edit

With the temporary closure Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal until 2030, stops for intercity buses are located in three different locations within the Scarborough Centre district. The three locations and the four carriers (GO Transit, Megabus, FlixBus, Red Arrow) are documented in a Wikivoyage section; I obtained stop locations from carrier websites. Note that Megabus does not use the same stops as GO Transit, and the article does not mention FlixBus and Red Arrow, with stops located in a third location. I am inclined to delete mention of Megabus from the article since it does not use the official GO Transit temporary terminal. @Joeyconnick and Alaney2k: Any comments? We should probably kept the historical reference in the article body that it was used by Megabus but if it's not stopping there now, should likely be removed from the lead and infobox. —Joeyconnick (talk) 02:01, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think we should mention that private coach lines use on-street locations, both in the lead and in the other sections. Just make it clear they are not in the official terminal. Alaney2k (talk) 14:57, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I like the mods you two have made. Thanks. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 20:54, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
