Pervy lede for whom? edit
Is it really necessary to start this article with the woodcut image of a vaginally impaled female being put on a stake? Violence against women is a sensitive topic in most cultures and the picture is full-frontal lewd. How is that academic? 79.120.150.182 (talk) 09:38, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
If it's historically relevant to the article, it should of course be included, sensitive or not. However, from skimming the article, the context doesn't seem to be mentioned at all, which seems like a strange oversight. Was torture (executions?) this brutal routine during the Savoyard-Waldensian wars? 125.161.72.100 (talk) 23:52, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
