In the intro, where it mentions Saudi Arabia is a country in “West Asia in the Middle East”, please change this to “a country in West Asia in the geopolitical region known as the Middle East.” 2600:100C:A216:3864:88D3:5C19:3185:B825 (talk) 22:16, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: no reason given for the proposed change. M.Bitton (talk) 22:38, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Köppen-Geiger climate classification map and layout

edit

@Nikkimaria What layout issues are you referring to from my edit? BurqueMesa (talk) 06:31, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

It causes sandwiching, as the section already has too many images. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:29, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see. Thank you for the explanation! BurqueMesa (talk) 19:22, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

The water percentage of "0.7" was added with no source by an account from with only 3 contributions which all seem to be misguided. After research, I could not find a single source which claims the same number. There is no official number for the water area of Saudi Arabia. 99.64.160.215 (talk) 01:35, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Context

edit

While context is always a good thing, providing due weight to all the inter-connected events that shape history, it cannot be used as an excuse for editorialising and original synthesis. If the article is to say that one thing affected the other, then a reliable source is needed that actually says this, connecting the events and issues. It is not acceptable to cite the two separately and say, or suggest, that one influenced the other, unless a source does.

Wikipedia also doesn't tell the reader what's important to remember or consider. It lays out the facts, given appropriate weight and cited, and lets the reader determine what's important. Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:46, 5 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Real ruler of Saudi

edit

A few times in the modern history section of the article, it says "the king does this" or "the king does that". I wish to point out that it is not actually the king doing these things, but the crown prince (called MBS). Is there a good place to put that information? Loymdayddaud (talk) 10:00, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Where? There's no part in the modern history section about any event after King Salman's (and MBS's) ascension to power. High surv (talk) 22:39, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's true. I suppose this isn't completely necessary, though I thought it would be interesting. Loymdayddaud (talk) 04:12, 12 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
