I would like to see this sentence read:

"The AC power windings are usually bi-filar wound so that they cancel out AC voltages that would otherwise be induced into the control winding."

Things are a little more complicated - it usually a 3 legged core. I think the article so far describes the same as Transductor. There are a few other applications to saturable inductors (e.g. in combination with thyristors).
