"Translations of individual kasen" edit

Should we change the title of this section? Keene (three pages before the section I just cited in the article) includes his own translation of the first verse of "Hatsushigure", and not including that in the list seems inappropriate. Perhaps "Translations of individual kasen and links" or just "Partial translations"? (I don't know of any examples, but it's conceivable that a prose translation of a kasen might exist -- such things have been done in the past -- so the current title would be inaccurate.) You raise a few interconnected points:

I'm doubtful that we should include reference to translations of individual hokku, as there are likely (at least) dozens of translations of the hundreds of hokku in the anthology.
The current section title does not preclude inclusion of partial translations (i.e. translations of a series of verses from any of the kasen). It only would if it were titled like "Complete translations of individual kasen." I think Higginson did a partial one, which I'll add if I can track down. Maybe Sato too.
The title also doesn't preclude including prose translations, if any should exist (which I doubt). It only would if it were titled like "Poetic translations of individual kasen."

Additionally, in this edit I subsumed your addition of the Keene translation under the "Natsu no Tsuki (Summer Moon)" section, as it is the same poem. Which leads us to the question of the varying poem titles, both Japanese and English. I've no strong preferences here, but I've aimed for consistency, using Cana's English titles and Mayhew's Japanese ones. I suppose it would be more consistent to use one or the other throughout, and since Cana does not provide Japanese titles I'll go change the English to Mayhew's now. --gråb whåt you cån (talk) 12:18, 15 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
