I'll read this one over, and review it a bit later. Sagecandor (talk) 18:30, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Successful good article nomination edit

I am glad to report that this article nomination for good article status has been promoted. This is how the article, as of June 13, 2017, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: This is a high quality page. Short and sweet. The writing is "clear and concise", per WP:WIAGA good article criteria. I note the nominator's other high quality work on similar topics include Against Neaera, Brothers Poem, Midnight poem, Neaira (hetaera), Theoris of Lemnos, Tithonus poem, and Women in Classical Athens. The lede appropriately introduces the reader to the subject matter, and per the size of the rest of the article, is of appropriate length here. I'd personally put the Preservation section below the Poem section. I really enjoy how the academic scholarly analysis is worked directly into the body text of the article.
2. Verifiable?: Everything is meticulously cited throughout the entire article, with a beautiful References and Works cited organizational layout.
3. Broad in coverage?: Covers major aspects for this particular type of subject matter, in-line with other high quality articles on similar topics, with academic scholarly commentary worked directly into main article body text.
4. Neutral point of view?: Article presents its topic in a matter of fact manner. Appears to be written in a neutral tone. No issues with NPOV.
5. Stable? Quite stable for several months now.
6. Images?: One image used. Free use license. File:Helene Paris David.jpg. Good licensing on image page.
If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to have it Good article reassessed. Thank you to all of the editors who worked hard to bring it to this status, and congratulations.— Sagecandor (talk) 01:49, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
