Good effort. I'm glad that this page has been created. I've created a similar page back in August and some people teamed up to delete it. anyway now after release of his movie there's enough reliable evideance and no one can delete this off simply they don't like him. But they should always remeber an article is an info about something or someone eventhough it's not always good things Gopaalan 13:42, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Don't get emotional. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and here we have rules on articles. For this article Wikipedia:BLP applies. Santhosh Pandit was not notable at that time, but now he is. I agree with Sreejithk2000. Wikipedians doesn't delete articles just because we don't like or dislike someone. The factors of inclusion depends on our core policies of Notability, Verifiability by Reliable Sources. I had originally proposed Santhosh Pandit for deletion earlier, when he was not notable then. IMHO, He may be marginally notable by Wikipedia standards. If the admin who blocked the page creation ( User:Kinu ) or some other admins feel so, this block may be removed and redirect this article to Santhosh Pandit. I feel there is sufficient notability to retain the article now. Notability will be good once an article is created for Jithu Bhai with enough reference links. But the biography section is still almost empty. This should be built with enough references.

Someone deleting entries due to jealousy towards Santhosh Pandit. The following lines were removed 2 times. As I had explained earlier, we don't delete article based on jealousy , hatred or dislike. Articles are allowed on subjects on Wikipedia based on our Notability guidelines. Please include the needed valid points of the news article here, but not a statement that yes, he was covered by news papers picturised in TV and radio. Unless there is another article named Santhosh Pandit there is no need to add (actor) in the article's name. The occupation is mentioned in the lead section, it's enough to inform the readers. Do not nominate for Deletion, Notability clearly established

Santhosh Pandit is clearly a well known notable person. Type in Google nearly 5 million hits proves his clear notability. He may have established notability through negative publicities. (I am writing from Australia [119.12.156.218]. I did not know this person until someone throws rotten eggs and tomatoes on him.) However that does not warrant an article to be deleted. Additionally, I see that well known Kerala newspaper Malayala Maonorama has published heaps of articles about him. How can wikipedia remove the article about a person who was only second to facebook in google trends on nov 5th 2011 and searched in google from 5 different countries with the country of his birth coming only fifth in the list,I find it very strange.I think since he is a new phenomenon and was relatively unknown till now authentic sources of information will take time to come.

this is not true. his film is not capable of winning any award. in fact it is a disaster.

Santosh Pandit's page should not be deleted... In future he is going to achieve Guinness Record too.. so be kool, also even his name is deleted from wikipedia, no worries, He will be a Real Hero... coz we are not sure of Wikipedia's safe survival a head, coz of Donation appeal ideas from Wikipedia.

Shame to all, those who cant digest a man to see winning... He is a descent man with positive attitude, he tried his level best to make a movie without any professional knowledge. Only with Indian currency or Rs. 5 Lakh... and that movie was a hit, by any means...

He is an intelligent person, he already proved it... Its true that, he is not that much handsome, he also admit that... but we should encourage him.

My argument against: Previous nomination for deletion was before his movie release which is the major event that gave him the notability.

Austria156: Subject notable only for one event.

My argument against: He is the major player in that major event which gives him notability. The fact that the event is major is evident from:

1. He tops all celebrated Malayalam movie stars (like Mohanlal and Mammootty) in Google searches for more than a month: http://www.google.co.in/trends?q=santhosh+pandit%2C+mohanlal%2C+mammootty&date=mtd&sort=0 (that too for a wide margin)
2. All major newspapers and channels covered him widely and individually. Examples:

Santhosh Pandit has made enough newsworthiness and history by daring to stir whirlpools in one of the significant language portfolio of Indian film industry (Malayalam) at a time that portfolio itself faces threats to its successful and economic survival. By going through unconventional steps and measures he has opened the eyes of mainstream movie makers and artists forcing them to retrospect their own perceptions of quality and acceptability.

The acts of this person is sure to become a historical landmark of Malayalam movie industry. Even the corroboration about deletion of this article would go a long way in the history of Wikipedia as what constitutes useful and relevant information in an encyclopedia as far as an average Keralite or Malayalee is concerned.
