Changes to the Sails Pavilion description

I may not have done the most justice to the spirit of the description of the Sails Pavilion, but factually it needed to be changed. The roof of the Sails Pavilion has no glass whatsoever, and is not supported by "sail-like structures." Rather, the roof IS a sail-like structure, made of Teflon-coated fiberglass and supported by metal columns and steel cables. One end of the hall has a wall abutting the new extension that is entirely glass, and was put in place due to noise complaints from nearby residents as the Pavilion is often used to host concerts in conjunction with conventions. The roof is very similar in design, structure, and appearence to that of the Denver International Airport. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.119.44.180 (talk) 15:13, 3 February 2007 (UTC).

Comic books

IIRC, the center was destroyed in a one shot comic about the popular comic character Lobo. A 'Dark Horse' comic book 'Hero Zero' had a giant fall on the center, killing many. I think these are noteable enough to be mentioned with the right sourcing. Lots42 (talk) 19:15, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Capacity

There are individual capacity charts for different parts of the convention center here (primary source) and here (primary source), this non-reliable source says that maximum seating is 48,910. That being said there are no non-primary sources that give a single number.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 18:25, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

Merge proposal

We currently have a separate article for the San Diego Convention Center Corporation. That article is an unsourced stub and has been for more than 10 years. What little information it contains, could easily be fitted into this parent article. Also agree. It looks like it's had some legal troubles (WashPo noted and others) in the last few years, but I don't think that will make it too long for the main SDCC article. Worst case, it can always be separated out again. Ten years is a long time without any TLC to justify its existence. Alaynestone (talk) 03:47, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

"Further reading"

Someone in good faith has been adding dozens of links to a "further reading" section in this article. It got completely out of hand. That kind of section is appropriate for listing one or two sources that give added depth to the subject beyond what is in the article. It is not a place to list dozens of articles just because they are about the subject, or "potential sources" which should instead be evaluated and (if found valuable and not duplicative of existing references) added to the article. The vast majority of articles do not include a "Further reading" section. See WP:Further reading.

I am reproducing the list below. If some of these have pertinent information which is not already included or referenced in the article, they should be added, as text-cited references.
