editI have corrected to John Smalman (from John Smalman Smith) the name of the uncle to whom he was apprenticed. John Smalman Smith was in fact the name of one of Samuel's own sons, a future knighted judge (died 1913).Cloptonson (talk) 14:47, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
