Excellent hunch! "Royal Academy Looks at How Antiquaries Made History" mentions that it was burned in a fire. My hunch, then, is that the fire might have been the fire that burned the old House of Lords in the Palace of Westminster, 16 October 1834. --Wetman 19:37, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
