Is this the same Samuel Brown as in Captain Samuel Brown. The dates are broadly similar and one Greenwich site clearly thinks the two men are one and the same, but I have yet to find another source corroborating this. Paul W 21:05, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Have now discovered that it is a separate Samuel Brown - this one lived in Old Brompton and was a cooper by trade - the Shooter's Hill/Blackheath connection was just a coincidence. Paul W 11:27, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
