Childhood family
editFrom one of our sources for his father Samuel Atkins Eliot II, namely[1]:
"In 1889, after graduation, Eliot married his stepsister, Frances Hopkinson. The couple had seven children."
Frances Eliot Fremont-Smith is a candidate daughter of that couple (sister of Samuel Atkins Eliot, Jr.). Ethel Cook Eliot is a candidate daughter and daughter-in-law (sister, sister-in-law).
