I propose to merge Sambir Raion (modern) into Sambir Raion. There is absolutely no need to have two articles on this subject. We perfectly managed to handle the administrative reform for many articles on Ukrainian districts, see Nizhyn Raion or Kharkiv Raion as two random examples. The Ukrainian Wikipedia indeed has decided to have two articles for every district which I think is a poor choice. No other Wikipedia has chosen this strategy. I am working on these articles and would come to this page in about a month. Ymblanter (talk) 17:20, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Ymblanter I agree with you, but just for clarification, at least German wikipedia has chosen to have two articles too: de:Kategorie:Ehemaliger Rajon der Oblast Transkarpatien. See discussion about the matter here: de:Portal Diskussion:Ukraine#Neuordnung der Rajone der Ukraine Delasse (talk) 19:33, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
I see, indeed, for whatever reason they only have two articles. I would certainly be against diversity in this case: If we choose to keep this articles, others must be split as well (with the exception of raions like Kosiv Raion which were not affected by the reform).--Ymblanter (talk) 19:41, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Also Yavoriv Raion (modern) to Yavoriv Raion--Ymblanter (talk) 17:11, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support the merge here and for the Yavorivskyi raion. (If not, the modern division should lose the parenthetical title disambiguation.) —Michael Z. 17:10, 31 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
