Thanks, MurielMary. This source gives her parents by name. And the NZ Herald article "Dr Samantha Holdsworth returns home to start world-leading medical centre" that's already used as a source gives good descriptions of her parents: "Dad, an entrepreneurial engineer" (which matches the source I gave above) and "Mum's always been interested in philosophy, the arts and education" (she received her damehood for being an arts patron).
