Discography edit

Under the YouTube Career heading it describes some of his covers as "songs performed melodically". This is a rather odd wording which probably needs clarifying —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joannah 1988 (talkcontribs) 11:56, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

His mashup "Love The Way You Lie" needs to be added to the discography... I leave it to someone more familiar with wiki markup however. -<Anon> —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.183.130.189 (talk) 14:26, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not done: thanks, but it wasn't released a single. Yves (talk) 19:56, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sam Tsui's ethnic identity edit

Is Tsui Chinese American or Eurasian? An Internet search of Tsui's ethnic identity seems to suggest that he's Eurasian and not Asian which is what this article is implying when it writes that he's of Chinese origin. I'm going to put a citations needed tag on that, although it'd be great if somebody could clear this up. Fellytone (talk) 19:01, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

He is Chinese American. It is already sourced at the end of the sentence. Yves (talk) 19:42, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Can't you be both Chinese American and Eurasian? One means you're an American with Chinese ancestry, and the other means you're of Chinese and European ancestry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.243.15.27 (talk) 04:00, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
He could be, but we'd need a reliable source for anything like that. Yves (talk) 04:13, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Gay? edit

Many comments on his videos state that Sam Tsui is gay (but not in an insulting way, more of an, "He's gay, get used to it" way). In fact, if you type "Sam Tsui" into Google, the second result is "Sam Tsui gay". Is he, or is he not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.169.45.99 (talk) 19:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

If he is, we'd need a reliable source to mention it in the article. Yves (talk) 05:12, 1 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ooh this is not private life sexual orientation ? Not a mention in the article coz personal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.230.26.65 (talk) 15:26, 29 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
I dont think Sam Tsui is gay.Its only that he is a bit white and thin and makes expressions like them while taking the high notes and people think he is gay and search in google and google is a search engine and obviously it will store the highest searches in it and display later on. If he was a gay why would he play in videos like start again and don't want an ending ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.244.125.141 (talk) 12:56, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well. Of course : in a song Sam changed all the "She" by "he" !!! YES im sure now.2A01:E35:2F4D:74C0:841B:5BE3:B5EC:BA40 (talk) 15:23, 16 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Clearly there are people here who need to brush up on Wikipedia's No original research guideline. The back-and-forth of "I know he isn't because he sings love songs addressing women" or "I know he is because he changed the gender of the pronouns in a song" needs to stop, as it is not how Wikipedia content gets decided. Even a link to a video in which Tsui sang the lyrics discussed by either party would not qualify a statement one way or the other for the article. In fact, until or unless a reliable, verifiable third-party source discusses the topic, even the question/discussion itself will have no place in the article. If a source that meets WP:V and WP:RS crops up, then it may have a place in the article. Until then, let's have no more time-wasting debates of what someone "knows" from speculation or interpretation. This is an encyclopedia. Lawikitejana (talk) 03:27, 19 July 2013 (UTC) P.S. Nearly removed the back-and-forth, as it's inappropriate, but decided there would be too many users who might see that as an attempt to sidestep orientation in biographical articles, which also happens too often, particularly when women in a male star's fanbase feel heavily invested in his being identified as straight. It's important to remember that an encyclopedia's stake is in information, whatever others' reaction to that info might be.Reply

Suggestions and Needs of Further Clean Up edit

Although this page is not under my department (nor is it related to my country's (Malaysia) topic in any way) but I feel that this page needs to be further improved and I strongly suggest the admins to block those who keeps on vandalising this page. I've checked this page's history and I've gotta say: I pity this boy (turns out many people don't like ya, they keep vandalising your page.) and most of all, I suggest that this page should be given a semi-protection to avoid further vandalism. From reading this article, I do feel that this article is still poorly written. Members from the WikiProject United States should be responsible in keeping this page (and other pages related to the United States) not only from vandalism but also to constantly update their pages so that it is up-to-date all the time. I hope to see this page will be given a semi-protection and hope that this article will be improved for the better.
