Sam Jackson (actor)Sam Jackson (actor, born 1993) – this should redirect to Samuel Jackson (disambiguation). Samuel L. Jackson was also credited as Sam Jackson. ErceÇamurOfficial (talk) 20:06, 22 June 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. - 🔥𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒆 (𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌)🔥 20:09, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose Samuel is Samuel, Sam is Sam. A hatnote should resolve any confusion and bring people to the right place without requiring extra disambiguation. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 06:58, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support: IMDb lists six films and a TV series in which Samuel L. Jackson is credited as "Sam Jackson", and one of the sources in the Wikipedia article about him starts its headline with "Sam Jackson". If you enter "Sam Jackson" into the search box on Google, Bing or IMDb, the first entry in the search results is Samuel L. Jackson (even when you explicitly say to restrict the search results to the exact phrase). Here is an article published yesterday that refers to him as "Sam Jackson" in its headline. Here is another one from two days ago that refers to him as "Sam Jackson" in the article body. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:50, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per BarrelProof, and the fact that the Samuel L. Jackson is frequently known as Sam Jackson, and predominates over the other actor in a cursory websearch. -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 04:53, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. A hatnote is sufficient. Samuel L. Jackson may have been occasionally credited as Sam Jackson, but absolutely nobody calls him that these days (maybe his friends do, I don't know, but nobody in the wider world). As for the cited articles, I suspect these were written by the sort of pretentious critics who would like to think they're friends of his! Sadly all too common in the entertainment world. The bulk of both articles still refer to him as Samuel L. though. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:25, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
"Absolutely nobody calls him that these days"? Did you see the above citations to two articles that called him that within the last week? One of them has that name in its headline. More examples are not difficult to find. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:28, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Those supposed "examples" say "Samuel L. Jackson" in the URL's, and one in the article's title. This is cherry-picking at its finest and I am probably even more convinced than before of my oppose !vote. Besides, this move doesn't actually accomplish anything since either way people will be going through a disambiguation page or a hatnote. It's a solution seeking a problem. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 05:28, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
You obviously failed to read the last two sentences! -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:45, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oppose per Necrothesp. estar8806 (talk) 16:28, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oppose no convincing case that a disambiguation is needed. Anyone looking for the more famous actor will end on the right page. Killuminator (talk) 19:53, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
