Toothpaste edit
I have seen some toothpastes that basically are powders of Peelu. Does anyone know anything about this, and why one would go for Peelu, and not any other kind of tree (like Neem or pine or eucalytpus or you name it ... ?). Benkeboy 15:45, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Vann tree edit
The tree is now a dying species, primarily because there are no longer desert conditions in its Indian habitat. There were a fairly large number of Vann trees in western Indian, Punjab and adjoining Rajasthan on the Pakistan border. Till 1960 one could find the trees bearing multi coloured and edible small cherries which were called Peelu.
