Longest Wharf? edit

Apparently citation is needed on the fact that Salmon Arm has the longest wooden wharf in North America, but all I could find are a few pages that say that it is the longest wharf of any kind in North America.

These are the pages I found, but I'm far too lazy to actually edit the page:

Well, given that those are all local tourism sites, and their citations would be to each other (whichever was the primary) they're not really "third party". I'm not sure who would rank wharf lengths, i.e. where we'd find lengths of other wharves, or how a wharf is defined (and is a wharf different than a pier, for example)? All those sites are promotional in nature and not "authoritative".....it's easy to boast, and easy to repeat a boast; proving it is something else entirely.Skookum1 (talk) 12:40, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Salmon Arm/Trudeau Salute edit

should it be mentioned that this the site where Trudeau was caught giving the middle finger to protesters. It's mentioned in his article there is even a link to Salmon Arm from his article because of that and 'giving the Salmon Arm Salute' has also entered the popular lexicon in Canada as an euphemism for giving the finger. Advertising Tone edit

I'm sure Salmon Arm is a great city to live in, but the tone of this article uses a lot of descriptive words to bolster the city in a way that does not come across as neutral. It should be re-written in a more level, non-biased way removing this tone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.24.12.26 (talk) 15:53, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's completely not neutral. Surprised it's stood for so long with its unencyclopedic, advertorial tone. "Exceptional," "World-class," and "Tremendous" all in one lede!? Come on.

someone who has the patience to undo them needs to undo both of Saeds2016's garbage edits from the 27th of January. That's where all the fluff came in in two massive puff edits. Won't let me directly undo them as there have been intermediate edits and they're big and I can't deal with them on my phone. Saeds2016 appears to have been a single-use account for those two edits.

I restored the lead to the version just prior to Saeds2016's edits. Thanks for pointing that out anonymous IP user. Air.light (talk) 23:52, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Economy edit

I found reference to when the sawmill stopped operations and confirmation of the Canoe Mill sale. I will reference this newspaper article in the Wikipedia article. https://www.saobserver.net/business/canoe-mill-sale-complete/ Sdslib (talk) 18:02, 14 February 2022 (UTC)SdslibReply
