Confusion edit

If the Shell Group bought the oil for 56 million USD, why did it then sell it for $43 million? Who scuttled the ship? Was it the charterer or the owner? Was there any litigation over this? There must be answers available. If the insurance was paid out, doesn't that suggest that the sinking was an accident after all? The absence of an oil slick or wreckage on the surface does not rule out an explosion or the ship having carried oil. It would as a minimum have had its own fuel and oil, which could have left a reasonably large slick even if there was no cargo.Royalcourtier (talk) 19:18, 27 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
