Stalin's projects talk about causeway rather than bridge. Tunnel project (Building 506) used not usual prisoners, but qualified amnistied workers, MetroStroy specialists and army engineers. After Stalin's death they wait 8 months before cancellation of building. Total cost of tunnel must be about 3 mlrd roubles. [1] Ходок (talk) 14:07, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Rename Page? Sakhalin Mainland Link ? edit
I propose we look to rename this page as it is historically about both bridges and a tunnel linking Sakhalin to mainland Russia. In July 2018, Russia’s president Vladimir Putin again proposed a bridge. [1]

Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel edit
I think there's too much information about the Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel in the Current operations and future prospects section. It's becoming a section about the Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel, which has its own article, rather than taling about the mainland–to–Sakhalin Tunnel. -- Pemilligan (talk) 19:13, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- I agree. The article should contain information only for Russian projects of tunner or bridge. There is no need to advertise this article with another article about an object that is related to Japan and which will be built at an unknown date (if it will be built at all). --Brateevsky (talk to me) 07:53, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
