I've removed the pic "Saharat Thai Doem map.png". This is pure fantasy, perpetrated by half-baked sources playing fast and loose with facts. Just because the Thai forces accompanied the Japanese forces doesn't mean Thailand administered the lands. The Japanese agreed to the Thai annexation of Kengtung and Mongpan only (along with the northern Malaya states) signed on 18 August 1943. See (Frank N. - It's a lot less ambitious for sure but not quite still. It includes the eastern Karenni States and southern Shan state of Mong Nai. The Article II of the agreement explicitly states Keng Tung and Mongpan as the two Shan states given to Thailand. (Article I lists the north Malayan states given to Thailand.) The Japanese later assigned the rest of the Shan states (including the Karenni States and Mong Nai) to the State of Burma. Hybernator (talk) 05:31, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
- The map had been vandalized by User:Shoshui and has now been corrected. It does not include Mong Nai which lies west of the Salween. The two districts of Möngmaü and Mehsakun of Mawkmai State and the eastern section of a district of the Karenni States are included as claim only. The map is accurate as it is now.
