@67.101.6.98: I reverted your recent edits because some of them were not constructive. Also, you've been reverting a bot that is specifically tasked to remove edits that link to certain websites. These sites are generally blacklisted because they fail WP:RS. If you want to re-add the external link to an image, then it should go at the bottom of the article, not the top. A closer look would lead you conclude that the additions are backed boy legit refs/ 67.101.6.98 (talk) 21:47, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
The bot says otherwise. The issue is that the image is hosted at a website deemed unreliable. It may well be that the image is suitable, and there is a procedure to work round a blacklisted site in certain circumstances. As it's nearly my bedtime, I suggest that you wait and I'll take a proper look in the morning, probably in about 12 hours time due to off-wiki commitments. In the meantime, I will remove the link to the image (if you've not already been reverted). Mjroots (talk) 21:53, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'll wait. The problem is that the Government of Portland, Oregon chose to publish images from its Archives and Records on WordPress.com. The bot should treat http://vintageportland.wordpress.com as an exception to its rule. 67.101.6.98 (talk) 22:24, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, it may be possible to arrange that, or even use the image in the article. Definitely bedtime now! Mjroots (talk) 22:31, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
@67.101.6.98: The procedure to get that website whitelisted is to file a request at MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist. Take a look and let me know if you think you'd be able to do that (you'll be able to better explain the reasoning behind the request than I will. If you feel that you can't, I'll do it for you, but it would help if you gave an explantion once the request has been filed. Mjroots (talk) 09:16, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
