Ship's name edit

Though a number of later, largely web based references show the ship's name as s' Jacob, authoritative printed histories give the name as 's Jacob. Those include U. S. Army Transportation In The Southwest Pacific Area 1941-1947 (Masterson, 1949, page 322 listing KPM ships with multiple references in the entire document), Australia in the War of 1939–1945. Series 2 – Navy - Volume Vol2, (Gill, 1968 Chapter 9, page 269). See also Cargo for the Jungle referencing "L.L. von Münching De Nederlandse koopvaardijvloot in de tweede wereldoorlog M.G. Emeis Jr. Australië ontzet and the RAN page HMAS Bendigo (I) with "On 8 March 1943 Bendigo rescued 153 survivors from the Dutch ship 's Jacob, which was sunk by Japanese aircraft . . ." use the 's form which appears to be an old Dutch form of proper names. Many, if not most, official histories involving this ship have the name as 's Jacob. Palmeira (talk) 01:42, 12 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Based on finding the ship in Lloyd's 1941-42 as 'sJacob I am moving the article to that name. Palmeira (talk) 03:44, 12 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
