questions on this article edit

"Despite having positive buoyancy, the SP350 is weighted to negative buoyancy with ballast weights that can be jettisoned in an emergency. " Despite is not the correct word to be used. It would be better if the sentence read " Because it is naturally positively buoyant, the SP350 is weighted......

"If the craft is within 100 meters of the surface, the crew can abandon it via the top hatch, provided they are equipped with emergency breathing apparatus."

I am not aware of any emergency breathing apparatus that can be used at 330 feet. The complications of managing the partial pressure of O2 would be too difficult. Does anyone know of an emergency breathing apparatus that can operate at 330 feet? Throckmorton Guildersleeve (talk) 15:44, 1 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

To celebrate the fourth anniversary of your message, I have fixed the first problem. I have no idea about the second problem. Perhaps in 2018 someone will fix that as well. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 18:41, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

What has SP 350 to do with SP 300? edit

I have read, that after a reinforcement the SP 300 just was renamed SP 350. Is it true? If it is so, it should be mentioned in the article. ----130.83.117.163 (talk) 12:16, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

The article needs edit

The article needs both current disposition and a pointer to successor Sea Coupe subs. I would otherwise ask a friend who worked for Cousteau and bought a used car off Simone, but he's back in the US now. 143.232.210.150 (talk) 00:00, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Following up: Yes, is this sub still in use? It would be over 60 years old now. Mcswell (talk) 12:57, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
