Name of the vessel edit
What is the official name of the vessel? This photo, for example, shows that the name painted on the vessel is S.A. Agulhas II. Tupsumato (talk) 22:27, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
- Moved and edited article to S.A. Agulhas II since it appears to be the ship's name. Tupsumato (talk) 19:51, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
- Someone put a {{cn}} on "A naming ceremony was held in August, when the ship was named Agulhas II, but this may not be the vessel's final name.[8] It may be renamed after one of the heroes of South Africa's struggle against apartheid.[citation needed]". But the reference that paragraph references clearly says:
- In April, Environmental and Water Affairs Minister Edna Molewa said the vessel was being given a temporary name, pending approval for it to be named in honour of one of the country’s heroes or heroines.
- The department was “engaging the family (of the individual) concerned”.
- On arrival in Cape Town the ship was dedicated to the memory of Miriam Makeba - no intention to rename it was mentioned. I've just added the detail to the article. Roger (talk) 16:49, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
