Format of this article is the same as hundreds of other village articles. Also, Słowiki Nowe means in Polish New Nightingale. I don't know what you mean - I didn't remove any information, only removed empty fields, information with no relevance to this village, and code that wasn't doing anything. If you want to add an explanation of the meaning of Słowiki, then just go ahead.--Kotniski (talk) 07:06, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, I've added that information in fact. I've also redone most of the changes that you reverted, with explanations for them in the edit summaries. If you disagree with any of them, please discuss (I don't think there's any doubt about any of them). Why did you remove 'area code"? As I said. It is very informative and necessary.

Agree, but sort it. Most of Polish article in Wikipedia are sorted by Polish letters. "Ł", "Ś" are on the end of sort list.

In "phone area code" the information "within Poland" is important. Many people confuse "48" local number with the Code to Poland "48".

So, if you call from abroad, the correct format is "0-48-48-xxx-xxxx"--WlaKom (talk) 07:50, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, do it your way with the area code. But "evey village has only one plate"? What do you mean? Surely more than one person in the village owns a car? And the standard for sorting is with English letters for Polish ones - that's how the other Polish articles should be sorted (certainly the villages are sorted like that), so we certainly want this one to conform. How does "the name means New Slowiki" not make sense? Nowe means new; Słowiki is the name of a place, so just means Słowiki. We explain that the word also means nightingales (but it wouldn't be translated like that when it refers to the place). Rephrase it if you can do better.--Kotniski (talk) 08:21, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

• Mean, WKZ is the car plate. Just one. Only some of the city have more than one car plate. For example: WKA, WKB etc. So the format should be Code plate(s).

Why should readers not be given this information? English readers won't necessarily know what "Nowe" and "Stare" mean unless we tell them. And I wouldn't call WKZ a "plate", it's a code that appears on all plates, so "plates" seems more logical to me.--Kotniski (talk) 09:34, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I think, if we translate village/city/country name, we should be careful and avoid the translation of part of name .

Sometimes, part of name in Poland is only the name without any meaning.

IMO "Car plate" means "Car code plate" for WKZ. So , question is, How many Car code plates" are in the village.--WlaKom (talk) 10:17, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Official name

According to official Gmina Sieciechów website, the name is: Słowiki Nowe. But many people try to use (adjective + noun) form. Nowe Słowiki. The same with: Słowiki Stare, Słowiki-Folwark. --WlaKom (talk) 09:21, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
