What the hell is this? And no the first modern police was not that established in Paris in 1667. That was in essence the first modern secret police. Stop appealling to your own sense of nationalist self-satisfaction with this unprofessional, uneducated time wasting and try to become a bit more scientific. Accusations of nationalism
"What the hell is this? And no the first modern police was not that established in Paris in 1667" British by any chance? Please do familiarise yourself with the comma. It is a useful tool and can be used as follows: "And no, the first", "That was, in essence,", "of nationalist, self-satisfaction with this unprofessional,".

Perhaps this should be rephrased as follows:
"It isn't as though I really care about you if you are sad enough to create an article on Wikipedia. I'm just sick of the fact that it's the first thing to come up on Google."

even though Québec . . .
Why this editorial comment in the article: "The provincial police force of Quebec is now called the Sûreté du Québec, even though Quebec was British [my italics]. Isn't it rather obvious it is just therefore the name has been changed to Sûreté, i.e. to extirpate the colonial past? 84.23.155.84 (talk) 20:08, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
