Infobox Graph
The graph in the infobox appears to be the author's own work and cites data back to 1789; this is nonsense, as the S&P 500 was created in 1957 (as noted in the article). Whatever numbers they are may or may not be reflective of the US stock market but they have nothing to do with the S&P 500 index.
