While adding the population section of the article, I read something about a "forest clearing" that took place sometime after 1837 which drastically reduced the population of the town to 4 people. I saw this mention in the Polish version of the article, but could not find anything else detailing the event online. Without further citation or knowledge of the event, I couldn't really expand upon it in the article, but would be grateful if somebody could learn more!
