I created this article because while there is a Culture of Japan page, the Ryukyu Islands are among the most divergent in terms of traditions, languages, cuisine styles, etc. I should point out that while the cultural elements of the Ryukyu Islands are rather diverse, many practices do have a common origin. Thus, I think this article meets Wikipedia guidelines.

To anyone reading this, I encourage you to expand the article. I mainly focus on linguistics, which is why the language subheading has the most coverage. If you can provide additional information to the page, please contribute. Thank you. — Haimounten (talk) 22:43, 15 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
