Not done: requests for changes to the page protection level should be made at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. --Redrose64 (talk) 22:18, 2 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
As a redirect, there would need to be a specific reason to request that the page be unprotected. Also since you have shown a singular interest in this subject, I can't see an admin approving the request from you just because you ask. Is there new information that makes Mr. Smith more notable than the first times you created the article and it was decided that he was not notable? If so, bring it up at Wikipedia:Deletion review, not here. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:22, 2 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Protected edit request on 14 January 2014 edit

I would like to edit this page. I believe there are sufficient references to justify it.

Please provide your references and the material you wish to write. Be sure to review WP:RS before editing them. The page was locked because the previous references were poor and did not support sufficient notability for the subject. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:08, 14 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Unprotection request edit

Requesting unprotection of page. There are sufficient references to justify this, including:

  • The London Film Review has a number of staff http://www.thelondonfilmreview.com/about/ but none of them wrote the interview. The fact that anyone can submit a film to be reviewed makes it suspicious. I can't imagine that it's a reliable source.
  • The Hollywood Reporter article is at a reliable source but it's not significant coverage.
  • BoxOffice.com is about Smith, it's about the production company, but it does mention Smith. It also mentions Brandon Gregory and Michael W. Smith.
  • http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/info/ indicates that Becky Reed is not a staff author, but she may have been at the time of writing.
  • Fast, Cheap Movie Thoughts http://fastcheapmoviethoughts.blogspot.ca is a blog. Not a RS.
  • Crosswalk is a discussion between Smith and his father, and it's in the music section. It's also not clear if Andrew Greer is staff.
  • www.newschannel5.com is not significant coverage.
  • http://collider.com Looks like a good source, but I can't tell from the site's about us section.
  • http://www.al.com/ - Bob Carlton covers restaurants, books, movies, television and radio for The Birmingham News and AL.com but the article is about the film not Smith.
I can't really see this as making the subject sufficiently notable, but let's see what others have to say. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:55, 4 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

hollywoodreporter, collider.com and www.boxoffice.com are discussed in the previous section. diymag.com is a self-promotion site. Not about to revisit this subject again. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:56, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
