Beginning of the "Clashes of empires" section edit

The starting in 1568, the Ottoman Empire's support for smaller Turkic and Islamic vassal states in modern Russia (the Astrakhan Khanate, the Crimean Khanate, etc.) brought the two empires into conflict. These increasingly went in Russia's favour.

This paragraph is TOTALLY BIASED. Turkish and Crimean Tatar armies have advanced as far north as Molodi, just 60 kms south of Moscow in 1572. It wasn't until the 18th century that Russia took control of the Northern Black Sea coast. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.235.127.40 (talkcontribs) 20:01, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Massaging each others' hands"? edit

Sounds derogatory. Like you're trying to make some snide point without coming out and saying it. I'm no fan of Putin or Erdogan, but would you dare use language like that about politicians that you liked? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.95.174.225 (talk) 01:11, 8 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
