Regarding the John Bryden entry: AFAIK, he was never accepted by the Conservatives. He approached them about running for the nomination but was not accepted. [unsigned]

No, he ran for the nomination and lost to David Sweet on the first ballot (see: Toronto Star, 31 March 2004, A07). He also sat as a Conservative in parliament. CJCurrie 21:18, 20 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Remarks regarding David Sweet edit

Concerns CjCurrie:

1) What is the source of your remarks regarding David Sweet alienating the voters?

2) What is the source of your charicterization of David Sweet as an "Evangelical christian fundraiser"?

3) Why should there be discussion of David Sweet in an article about Russ Powers? Is it possible to describe the political achievements and failures of Mr. Powers without getting in to the specifics of his opponents?

I am concerned that we may be including Negative Content of Mr. Sweet and information that is not relevant to the notability of Russ Powers. Alan.ca 2006-09-27 @ 03:12:17 UTC

Rather than responding in a point-by-point manner, I'll provide some sourced information about the 2004 contest shortly. CJCurrie 21:39, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
