~~Oppose~~The article is poorly referenced and makes no mention of the name change. As a minimum the article should include sentance or two about the change of name together with referencing from a reliable source. User:Shudde is correct - a source will help the process. Relisting comment: I'm also having a difficult time finding sources... was there even a name change? When? http://www.rugbysouthland.co.nz/history.html and https://nzhistory.govt.nz/culture/regional-rugby/southland don't mention one (and nor does our article as noted above). And in any case, what's the common name currently? The official name is not the whole story, not by a long shot. Google [1] [2] gives me more ghits for Rugby Southland but not overwhelmingly. If we had a date for the (unsubstantiated) official rename we could invoke WP:NAMECHANGES and hopefully get a clearer picture. Andrewa (talk) 16:42, 12 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
According to the Incorporated Societies register, they changed their name from Soutland Rugby Football Union Inc to Rugby Southland Inc on 10 March 1998! Sorry I can't link to the certificate, only the search function. Mattlore (talk) 20:46, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
