Oscar Mayer

edit

I heard that she is Oscar Mayer's daughter. Is this true? --Adam (Talk) 12:33, 14 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

SHE IS NOT 'American British'! She was born in America, parents were not British citizens, and living in England doesn't make you 'British-American citizen' ! REMOVE this wrong information at once. I have relatives who live in Britain, the love of my life has dual citizenship through his English-born father, and
THE UNITED STATES DOES NOT RECOGNIZE DUAL CITIZENSHIP FOR AMERICAN-BORN CITIZENS!It is incorrect to write that she is British-American or American-British. Say that she has dual citizenship, which is the correct term. 107.129.97.80 (talk) 00:46, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Date of birth / death

edit

I'm slightly confused. According to the dates by her name she was born in 1853 and died in 1906. I hope I can safely assume this is a mistake although if she has died this year 2006, I have heard no mention of it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.46.81.19 (talk) 20:46, 23 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

My husband attended Evanston High with Ruby and was in the same graduating class as she was (and he tells a funny story about a prank she played during the Graduation ceremony). He was born in 1951. So unless Ruby skipped ahead a couple of years of school, it appears she is employing the "lady's prerogative" of shaving a few years off her age. So some verification of birthdate is needed here.Cheripye14 16:12, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've just edited this section. This seems like some odd vandalism. Ruby Wax was born in 1953 and she's not dead, unless someone knows something that the rest of the world doesn't. Dreamalynn 11:49, 24 December 2006 (UTC) dreamalynnReply

Chariots of Fire

edit

She was Bunty in Chariots of Fire. I saw it last night and saw her name in the credits but that's not a good enough source. Cross Reference (talk) 22:50, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Ruby Wax.jpg

edit

Image:Ruby Wax.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:28, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
