Neutrality edit
Judging from the amount of peacock/promotional wording I removed from this article, this needs to be reviewed for neutrality. It also concerns me that so many of the references link to a website apparently owned by some of the scientists involved in this controversy, and the acrimony there. That website is interesting in itself in that it attacks the Earth Impact Database for not including Rubielos de la Cérida [1]. It also rips into various ideological opponents [2], including an attack on a journal for accepting a paper critical of impact origin [3]. So three observations: (1) this article seems to be heavily biased towards this being a genuine impact structure (2) the Earth Impact Database does not recognize this as an impact structure (3) some people on the Internet are pretty angry about that, and this article links to them extensively.
