Membership edit

It would be great to create a membership list (Category:Members of learned societies) based on http://www.royalsociety.org.nz/Site/About/Our_structure/fellows.aspx Stuartyeates (talk) 05:55, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Journals edit

A handy table for journal abstracts is here. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 22:35, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fleming Award edit

I've added a section for the Fleming Award and recipients, but it could well do with its own page to match some of the other Royal Society awards. Which I'll do when I have a moment. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 10:22, 19 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

clarifying the name confusion edit

Wikipedia can't resolve the situation with the confusing names of this organization but it can mitigate it by being very explicit about it (admittedly, this is mentioned in the lede, I just think the distinctions need to be very explicit). As per the "Our Name" page:

  1. Royal Society of New Zealand is the legal name, as defined by the enabling legislation.
  2. Royal Society Te Apārangi is the preferred branding, with Te Apārangi meaning "group of experts" in Māori.
  3. Royal Society of New Zealand Te Apārangi is described as its full name.

I think a list format will be much more user-friendly for the reader as compared to having straight text. Fabrickator (talk) 00:05, 13 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
