This article sounds like an advertisement.

I have given it a substantial rewrite and hope the result still includes the important information without all the hype. --Wspencer11 (talk to me...) 22:12, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Can the tag be removed now? Snowman 22:21, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I was going to say yes but now someone has put back some of the advert sludge. I will revert if no one else does so first, or if there's no sensible discussion on this page about what should go in and what should come out. --Wspencer11 (talk to me...) 16:00, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I was not trying to put more advertising sludge in the article but to put something in the lead that shows how this company relates to other companies in the field and to the industry of pottery/porcelain in England. I think it is a great article and does not sound like advertising at all. I would say to remove the advertising tag. --Tinned Elk 19:23, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
In retrospect I think I over-reacted. Sorry! I'll remove the tag now. --Wspencer11 (talk to me...) 21:27, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
no problem. --Tinned Elk 00:12, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Royal Albert edit

I feel not enough emphasis is placed on Royal Albert and there is very little about this on the web. Is there a reason for this?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.209.97.34 (talk) 11:15, 16:46, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Flambe ware edit

Would a section on Royal Doulton Flambe ware be appropriate. I own a couple of pieces of this, but do not know how importnat it is in the overall story of Royal Doulton. HairyWombat (talk) 16:49, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree that this page sounds like an advertisement. There is no reference to the controversy surrounding the CEO Wayne Nutbeen who dessimated this company, and the reference to the off shore manufacturing in Indonesia is merely mentioned as though it is trivial information. The companies decline is nothing short of tragic, and I would expect a detailed timeline & full history for this page. There are transcripts on the Web from British parliament sessions relating to the uproar in Northern England as a result of Wayne Nutbeen's mismanagement of the Doulton Group. In addition, there is no mention of the 'Royal' being withdrawn for usage by the company as a result of its decline over the last decade. Wota Shame (talk) 03:58, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

== Royal Doulton - Royal Warrant ==

The current page states 'In 1901 King Edward VII sold the Burslem factory the Royal Warrant' surely this should read granted not sold — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colmint (talkcontribs) 15:04, 28 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
