I’m not sure how best to add it as a citation but it’s certainly true that Roy owned two Rottweilers, he can be seen with them in the 2006 documentary Roy Shaw:Brute Force mentioned elsewhere in this article. I’ve just finished watching it on Amazon Prime where it’s available (at least in the U.K) and it’s also on YouTube.
I also think there should be reference made to the trial of Roy Shaw and another man with the surname Costa for a murder in prison - Roy admits to being guilty in this documentary even though he was found not guilty in court at the time. He not only escaped from his prison cell twice as mentioned here but if his account in this film is true then he did this on one occasion by whacking the inside of his locked prison cell so hard with a chair that he actually knocked the door down and on the other occasion by ramming his bed through the locked door so hard that it bashed a hole straight through the door- physical feats that allegedly (according to the narrator/interviewer/Director of the film) have never been carried out by any other prisoner ever as they lacked his strength.
Another thing that should be mentioned is his claim in the same film that for his second fight with Lenny McLean he’d taken too much ginseng before the fight, making him lose the fight as he was drowsy. He claims a similar thing happened as a result of taking too much vitamin E in the third fight too. These claims are clearly fanciful and absurd but should be mentioned even if only to dismiss them immediately afterwards. Overlordnat1 (talk) 01:44, 10 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Chadwell Heath is not in North East London but is a suburb of Dagenham in Essex, dunno where people get their info from but that is quite a naughty no no from a point of view of these folk who would be somewhat cross being lumped into a foreign territory.
