Family

I think it's quite funny that the highest Disney of the company is Walt Disney's nephew... ^^

What's funny about it? Walt did not have any sons. Who else would you have expected to have become the highest ranked of the family? Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 19:10, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

KCSG

In January 1998, the Pope on a visit to Los Angeles awarded the KCSG in recognition of services to Catholic causes to 67 people. Of those 67, 3 were non-Catholics - Bob Hope, Roy Disney, and Rupert Murdoch. For a reputable source, please see this excerpt from the January 3 1998 edition of the Los Angeles Times, " Pope Honors Rupert Murdoch, Roy Disney, Bob Hope" Bwithh 01:36, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

According to Bob Hope's page, he died a Catholic. 212.84.101.38 (talk) 22:13, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

It says his father is Roy O Disney, but...Roy O disney was born the same year! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.230.93.205 (talk) 18:57, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Save Disney

It would be great to see more written about Roy E. besides his involvement and leadership in the Save Disney campaigns. There is certainly more to be said about his life's work. :) Any ideas, research? Tiggerjay (talk) 02:56, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

I think he has four children named Abigail Edna Disney Hauser, Susan Disney Lord, Roy Patrick Disney and Timothy J Disney. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I've been doing some research on the Internet and their names came up. Someone with better sources should mention them in the article, maybe...?

His IMDb bio as well as this (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/17/arts/television/17disney.html) obituary confirms that Abigail, Susan, Roy, and Timothy are his four children. The whole section on his personal life needs a rewrite so it's not a list. Vpw (talk) 04:18, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Doctorate

He was titled in the article as 'Dr Roy Edward Disney', I have removed the 'Dr', as he has an honorary doctorate, which does not entitle him to use the 'Dr' prefix. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.68.208.117 (talk) 03:05, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes it does (at least in the UK). Although many recipients of Doctorates Honoris Causa choose not to use the prefix Dr. For exceptions, consider Cathedral Organists past and present; many Bishops also are doctors honoris causa... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.204.103.99 (talk) 07:48, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

He was one of the first people to conceive of the Kingdom Hearts series

I edited this out until it can be cited. There is a popular story of how the series got started in a conversation in an elevator between an employee of Square and an executive of Disney in Japan since both companies worked in the same building. I don't know who the executive was but I doubt it was Roy Disney working in Disney's Japan offices. —Preceding unsigned comment added by User:75.142.101.38 (talkcontribs)

I think we should swap the 2009 photo with the 1989 photo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.181.87.215 (talk) 21:28, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Do you have a reason why? Trivialist (talk) 23:31, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
