Intention of Article

edit

Is the intention of this article to describe the traditional foods and their purposes (simanim) on Rosh Hashana, or is it to describe the sephardic Traditional 'Seder' of Rosh Hashana? Relspas (talk) 17:12, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

In Ashkenazi communities, the symbolic foods are traditionally eaten one after the other at the beginning of the meal, while saying a short prayer for each. However, I have not heard this referred to as a "seder". Is this different from the Sephardic "seder"? Ar2332 (talk) 05:04, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

We can make two remarks about this photograph, the first is that does not contain fish or the head of the fish or the head of any other herbivore animal that is mandatory for a blessing during the order called in Hebrew Seder. The second remark is that no dish or nor a Plato contain kerti salata that is required only in a symbolic sinamim[1] seder [2] --FlorinCB (talk) 04:40, 20 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Why does this page exist? It's not linked from the main Rosh Hashanah page or the disambiguation page. Plus, the content can be easily folded into the main page. I propose this page be combined and then deleted. Benjaminaventi (talk) 20:38, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Actually it is linked, my bad, however the section in the main page is more robust than this article is anyways. I still think this page doesn't need to exist. Benjaminaventi (talk) 20:40, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
