Show it worn edit

Somebody please add a picture of how it is worn. The rules make understanding it without a photo rather challenging. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.127.80.59 (talk) 00:51, 12 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

... bowknots, due to their shape edit

Re

Rosettes are also sometimes called bowknots, due to their shape.

in the last sent of 1st 'graph of the lead section: I keep staring at the image to the right of the text "... a large rosette is sometimes pinned onto the ribbon which suspends a medal" and not seeing any resemblance between the shapes of the rosette in the image and of a bow knot (which is currently a Rdr to Shoelace knot. Please state what features the shapes are supposed to have in common. Perhaps it would help to describe what operations are involved in creating a rosette, thereby clarifying what its structure is. (The image suggests to me that it is folded and sewn, perhaps involving pleats, but the structure of the rim-like circular edge structure is mysterious.)
