I really liked the side bar with a summary of the species information as well as the layout of the article. I think this is a good start for the article and it would be helpful to expand on certain aspects, such as applications (the information currently on the page is really interesting!) Also, more detail could be added to the lifestyle of these microbes, ie what they are doing in these marine sediments and how they thrive in different environments.

As Kunye mentioned above I like the side bar with the summary information. In the introduction you mentioned how this genus plays an important role in biogeochemical cycling and climate change but there is no section on it specifically or incorporated into the other sections already listed. I think it would be great to incorporate those aspects into the page. Adding how this genus plays a role and the effects, mediation or intensification of climate change would be helpful to the reader. The description section could be more expansive and give a more detailed looking into this genus without overlapping too many details with the other sections. In the genomic features, I'm not sure if you guys didn't have enough time or couldn't find any further research. If the latter is true it would be nice to include a sentence or two about how there hasn't been any extensive research done on the genome of this specific genus. This way it tells the reader that there wasn't any discovered papers yet, and that it is not a section that just hasn't been done yet. I like the diversity/ecology section, although you only have a single reference at the bottom of the section. I think it would be better to references some of the sentences within the section. You might also want to think about looking at other sources so that you have more validity in the statements you are making. Hopefully this helps! :)

I really like the summary side bar, it helps the reader follow the article and come up to review if anything becomes unclear. In the intro paragraph you talk about the {alpha}-3 subclass, it would be great if you could either elaborate on what that is, or if you could link the existing wikipedia page. In the description paragraph, the ideas are not organized to flow very logically. Lots of the information in that paragraph can be put into the introduction. Also in the description paragraph what do you mean by "plasmid borne" The Diversity/Ecology section could be split up and elaborated on. For example the prey/predation habits, dispersal patterns (spatial and temporal). Also you mention metabolic proficiency and regulatory circuits, can you elaborate on that please. Great work on the applications paragraph, it is very informative.

As others have said, the side bar is very useful. I also found the introduction concise and useful. The other sections are potentially a bit light on content, although all the content presented is relevant. The genomic features section has a lot of terminology that is not made clear, and so either additional descriptive information or links to other wiki pages that describe the term would be useful. In particular the sentence referring to plasmid borne is difficult to understand. Under the ecology section the third sentence “The diversity makes an impact in ecology because of the roles that bacterial lineages play in oceanic elemental cycles, and their connections with marine eukaryotes” would benefit from more information describing the role of bacteria rather than just referring to it, since many people without an oceanographer and marine biology background will be reading this page.
