Rosario La Union, is a lovely town, situated just on your way down from Baguio to Manila. It is a small town, built near a river that is why the name, rio.

I should know because i was born here in this lovely town, 50 years ago. From my fond childhood memories, it used to be a quiet town, but now it has grown. And of course, it flows with the changing times, growth means progress.One can not stop this process.

One has to see our church. It is built in the style of the Spanish conquistadores.. And the ceiling of the church, with its frescoes on the ceiling. you would think you were looking at the Sistine chapel..though it was not exactly Michaelangelo who did the paintings but a very talented local. This is a must to see..

And one has to go to Rosario when the calachuchi trees bloom and a dizzying faint perfume fills the air..There is nothing more beautiful than the view of a calachuchi laden with flowers with its delicate white petals..

There used to be a dam where we as kids used to spend our summer afternoons to swim.. i wonder what happened to this dam...
